Hydraulic Power Unit pictured above is Ground Support Equipment for a Propulsion System that supplies controlled hydraulic power for the testing, servicing and checkout of the Solid Motor Thrust Vector Actuation System. The unit provides a maximum flow rate of 13.5 gpm, adjustable from 300 to 3200 psi. The system has an explosion proof electrical rating and is constructed of stainless steel for the hazardous outdoor environment on the launching pad. The enclosure and use of other noise reducing techniques reduce the noise level to less than 75 Dba.
